The Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs is a standing committee of the Senate. It is chaired by Jerry Moran (R-KS), with Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) as ranking member. Like every congressional committee, it does the detailed work the full chamber cannot: holding hearings, marking up bills in its jurisdiction before they reach the floor, and overseeing the executive-branch agencies it covers.
